A letter to you from Raili Donnely, Physician Assistant at Orthopedic Associates: October 12, 2014 I hope you will consider supporting my team in the Fourth Annual Anschutz-Hunt Challenge Cup, a squash tournament fundraiser for one of Denver’s most unique college-access programs, Mile High Squash. This program puts a select group of Denver’s first generation college-bound students on a path toward college and career success by providing long-term tutoring, mentoring, squash coaching, and college/career planning. I am so impressed with how dedicated the students are, both on the squash courts and in the classroom! The Cup is a signature event, bringing investors and students together for a competitive weekend of squash and fundraising. The event is named in honor of the Anschutz and Hunt families, who played critical roles in kick-starting Mile High Squash in the summer of 2008; both Phil Anschutz and Chris Hunt are avid squash players committed to improving Denver’s educational landscape. In a city where only 62% of students finish high school – and of these, only 21% complete a post-secondary degree within six years of high school graduation – Mile High Squash is well positioned to make a deep impact on graduation rates. With a 100% tax-deductible donation to Mile High Squash through the Challenge Cup, you will directly impact the current and future lives of each student. You can make your check payable to: Mile High Squash, P.O. Box 40160, Denver, CO 80204. Checks are preferable for donations over $250, but you may also donate online going to the following link: milehighsquash.org/bierstadt.html. You’ll find my name and a donate button next to it; press it and it will take you to a PayPal page. You’ll receive a confirmation from PayPal and Mile High Squash will follow up with a tax letter at a later date. You may donate any amount that works for you - every little bit counts! (You do not need a PayPal account to donate.) Our goal is to net $150K. I hope you can help us! Please note that if your donation is $150 or larger, you qualify to attend our dinner on Saturday night, November 8th, at McNichols Civic Center. Please let me know if that is of interest to you and I’ll have Cath Coucoules, tournament coordinator, contact you directly via email. Warm regards, , Raili Donnelly Team Bierstadt
