A letter today from our next Congressman - This morning starts the beginning of the general election campaign. If you agree that we need to elect members of Congress who have done more than run for office, I ask you to make a contribution today Earlier this week Congressman Lamborn said that people who havent held elected office arent qualified to serve in Congress. I cant think of a better example of the arrogance of career politicians. While Congressman Lamborn was in public office, I spent 32 years in the Air Force, flying combat missions and leading 30,000 men and women as a 2-star General. Then I was a business executive in charge of $750 million in sales at a large IT company. But Congressman Lamborn says thats not enough experience. Well, hes right. I dont have experience shutting down the government, I dont have experience spending so much that we leave a huge debt for our children. What I do have experience in is making tough decisions when the stakes were high and lives were on the line. I believe thats the experience we need if we are going to change Washington. Last night, Lamborn barely won his Republican primary. He has never been more vulnerable than he is right now. Irv Halter for Congress
