A liar is not so much someone who gets facts wrong (though it helps to get those facts right too), but is someone who is dispositionally off-center; someone out of rhythm with God’s design for him...it creates friction, barbs on words, and knives in hands. Whatever it takes, no matter the cost, PAY IT! You know you’re not right, and even if you don’t, I assure you, everyone else knows you’re not. Be who you are in Christ, yes, but it is only through death to self that that occurs in manifested form. You can declare positive things until the cows come home, and believe away every imaginary mountain in your delusional mind, but yet, until you follow Him down—into the depths of the baptismal waters of the Jordan, down to the grave of yourself as you are natively constituted—you cannot follow Him up even to the modest stature height of a slave/servant (let alone the high stature of a son). Death and burial precedes resurrection life, and the joy of what comes after the cross is only arrived at through the pain and suffering implicit in the cross experience. Paul wept at the thought of those who were enemies of the cross of Christ because he knew it was the only way to fix stupid (stupid meaning being “willfully ignorant”), and in this case, being willfully ignorant of the only way to fix ones’ soul, to have it redeemed. The cross is God’s only way to lose the soul...so as to gain it back forever; it is to have it removed away from the spirit by His double-edged sword (the TRUE circumcision). God will not fix what we will not let go of, and not allowing His Holy Word to slice and dice us (ourselves, our souls) away from our Adamic nature is the bane of today’s insipid Christianity.
