A life worthy of the Gospel Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel, (Philippians 1:27 ESV) My message As Christian or believers we are not called to live any other but a life that’s worthy of the gospel. I ask myself this question and ask yourself this question also-is my lifestyle worthy of the gospel? As believers we are to mirror Christ to others in the world. If we claim to be saved by His finished work on the cross and are part of God’s kingdom where we are citizen then our life should be worthy of the gospel. Citizens of a country or state lives according to the laws of the land or the state. As believers even though we are in this world we are not of it. We are future citizens of another place which is heaven. We cannot live the same way as the non-citizen of heaven. The only way to prove our heavenly citizenship on this world is by living a life worthy of the Gospel. Why is it important to live a life worthy of the gospel? That’s when we are able to bear spiritual fruits That’s when we display Christ to world That’s when God is being glorified in us For us to be able to stand firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel as Paul said could only happen if we live a life worthy of the gospel. This is because it is the gospel that unities us to be able to stand firm in spirit and striving together for the faith of the gospel with one mind.
