A light bulb manufactured before planned obsolescence became the standard, has been on for 100 years. The technology is there, has been for at least 100 years, to make things last a very long time. Now, let me ask this question: If the technology is there to make a light bulb last for 100 years, why offer consumers short lived mercury-filled toxic bulbs that have been designed to be discarded after a few hours and call them green and environmentally friendly? And we believe it????
