A lil bummed this morning after speaking to the KID last night about his field trip to Kenwood Academy tomorrow on the South Side. Apparently a large portion of his class are not going based on the parents deciding they would not allow it. He stated the majority wants to go but wont be. He has been blessed to go to diverse schools as I was too growing up. While I understand parents have that right to decide whats best for their kids, I cant help but wonder the REAL reason why they have denied their child this unique opportunity to see what its like...The Kid said, Mom I want to go, some kids are too sheltered. LOL...I guess! Anywho I am excited for him and the classmates that will be taking this trip. Happy Monday folks! A new day for new opportunites to grow!
