A little Facebook game here now. I really enjoyed the game of posting some classic paintings and introducing the painters. Now I would like to propose a game of posting a great piece of classic music that you like and introducing the story behind it. So mine is: Edvard Grieg, Hall of a Mountain King from Peer Gynt. The story of the orchestral music is from Henrik Ibsens play of the same name. From Wiki: The piece is played as the title character Peer Gynt, in a dream-like fantasy, enters Dovregubben (the troll Mountain King)s hall. The scenes introduction continues: There is a great crowd of troll courtiers, gnomes and goblins. Dovregubben sits on his throne, with crown and sceptre, surrounded by his children and relatives. Peer Gynt stands before him. There is a tremendous uproar in the hall. The lines sung are the first lines in the scene. I tag Indrius Sirtautas, Uldė Srt, Eva Avinaitė, Basia Suroż and William K. Lee to continue the game an tag others.
