A little Light and this Weeks Performances: 4/1 A book is one form of art. It possesses its own pace for developing plot and characters, its own tempo for moving the story forward. A movie is ANOTHER form of art. It possesses its own unique pace for developing plot and characters, its own tempo for moving the story forward. Comparing the two is like comparing an apple to an orange... yes they are both fruits, but completely different. Just like movies and books. For those who read novels that have been turned into movies, of course there is more detail, and story in a book vs the movie. To include all dialogue, all situations, all characters from a book into a film, would not make good art. That would be like trying to shove the contents of a wedding cake into a cupcake wrapper... something is bound to be left out to make it fit. :) When determining whether a piece of fruit is good, or bad, we would never say, this apple doesnt taste anything like an orange, I dont like it. :) Same with movies, we shouldnt say, this movie is nothing like the book, I dont like it... we should enjoy the work of art for what it is... a movie.
