A little background on me. I was born into a very military family in 1948. Our family had at-least one and up to several men in the military starting with our war for independence through Iraq and Afghanistan. My father spent 14 years in the USAF (Army Air Corp), two of my uncles were USAF during their Korean service, another uncle spent 30 years in the ARMY (West Point Grad) and retired as a LTC with 2 tours as a combat officer in Vietnam. And later went back to teach at West Point. Dad served on Tinian Island (A-bomb location) in 1945 and was a radio operator on a B29 engaged in the bombing of Japan. We had a congressman in the first Continental Congress. I enlisted in the USAF in 1966 during the Vietnam War and had the pleasure of visiting that country a few times (1968), but not as a combat troop. Upon coming home I was still greeted with being spat on and ridiculed for my service. One time I was hit in the head with a pop can, luckily it was empty. In addition to above we had approximately 22 - Army, 7 - Air Force, 5 - Marines, 5 - Navy, 4- Coast Guard, 10 - National Guard. Now to the point. All of congress have failed us. They keep pushing the blame back and forth but its all their faults. This countrys government has had over 200 years to come up with a stable and flexible way to keep government workers on the job, pay our military a decent and competitive wage so they can have the American Dream too. And pay for what ever else is NEEDED. Taxes and other revenue streams should be structured so that everyone contributes their fair share. I, by no means, have a solution to the problems we are facing, but I do know that the first step is to replace them all and start fresh. Not just replace them with the next group of nuts but vote in people that know finances, how to motivate people and how to work together no matter which party they belong to. Our people have been forced apart and its now time to come back together and put the majority back in-charge not the radical nut cases from either side. In GOD we do trust and GOD bless the USA.
