A little bit more about one of our speakers on August 9th at Leonda. John Murray, a Wakka Wakka Gubbi Gubbi man is from South East Queensland. John has lived in Indigenous communities for the past 30 years working in Education, Health and Justice. He is speaker who will speak about an iniatative he has developed with local school and early childhood services in the Gippsland area of Victoria entitled, Learning Stones where he supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders by assisting them to grow strong in who they are through education, cultural experience and lifestyle opportunities and practice. Join John to discover how The Learning Stones creates an Indigenous cultural safe space for awareness and community participation within school and community environments.
