A little bit of feedback on photos. This is not a discussion or a debate - comment only with ideas, not arguments: At neko we have an existing policy that some dont know about: If you want to come in and take photos of people with a dedicated camera (like a DSLR or other interchangable lens camera) you need to get permission from an organiser to do this. Using a camera phone or a little consumer camera to take some selfies or pics with/of your friends is totally fine so long as they welcome it. Alexander Geoffery Doran really is the shining example of great photographer behaviour. When he takes photos of specific people or small groups, he shows them the photo on the camera screen immediately after and their reaction (which is sometimes nonverbal on the loud dance floor) decides if the photo is deleted on the spot or kept. Alex - you rock! Could we make it the standard that other official event photographers also use this model of consent? It would also be great if attendees were better informed that they are not welcome to act as event photographers without first getting permission, and that staff, like those dancing on stage, do not automatically consent to being photographed or videod in any form by anyone who isnt an event photographer. With video, I think deerstalker have always been very respectful and should keep doing what they do as always.
