A little boy came into the kitchen. Dont touch the stove his mother said. For about 5 minutes he was restless. He played on the floor with his toys, he climbed up to the table to draw, and ran around the room playing airplane. Finally, he couldnt take it anymore.He went and put his hand on the stove. He didnt touch the pot. Or the the red hot eye. He just touched the surface. Quickly he snatched his hand back because the surface was hot. His eyes watered as he looked down at his aching hand. That is us as Christians. We are sometimes our own worst enemy. We endure pain because we dont listen to direction. So often we ask God to order our steps, yet we refuse to take His direction. We all have our reason for going rogue at times. But it is only later when we reflect do we think if we had only done what we were told to do at first we wouldnt have to start over. If we had only listened to that small voice we wouldnt have gone through the hurt. Dont look around your camp to see who hurt you. Look in the mirror. Have a warm Saturday fam!
