A little disappointed today, I posted a picture of the world trade center before bed last night with a caption that said “Never Forget”. I woke up this morning to many negative comments on the picture. I believe everybody is quite entitled to their own opinion and I am aware that there are many speculations and theories regarding the events of September 11th 2001.However. It was undoubtedly one of the most tragic events ever to take place on US soil to date, impacting not only the US, its citizens and residents but the entire world. We all witnessed the devastating loss of life and I believe almost all of us have at least shed a tear for the men, women and children who did not get to go home to their loved ones that fateful day. For the heroes who sacrificed everything to try and save the innocent and for the heroes STILL fighting. It truly saddens me that twelve years ago today almost three thousand innocent people lost their lives and some would rather complain and spew negativity than remember what is really important. Have we really forgotten how this great nation was able to pull together on that day and despite, race, religion, beliefs, etc fight and help rebuild each other. How we put hate aside and just loved one another and helped those who had lost so much. If you have something negative to say today that is fine….but say it elsewhere….it will NOT be welcomed here. Today I will take a moment of silence to remember those lives lost and say a prayer for those who will be forever mourning the loss of a loved one. Once more I will say it….NEVER FORGET!!
