A little drama in my life this morning. As I went out of a café from a meeting, ang bumungad ba naman sa akin ay isang elderly man, a lolo who’s a bit older than my own dad. Nowadays had dad been still alive, he could be that age….and state. The old man was ailing, with a cane, half of his body was mildly paralyzed, perhaps a stroke victim, assisted by a ‘yayo’, emerging not from a car but from a tricycle. He was pointing to Cherryland, perhaps wanting to eat something. And the assistant obliged. My gaze followed them then I burst into tears. I suddenly remembered dad. I went inside the car, dali-dali, for fear that people would see my drama. Inside, I sobbed. I watched the lolo eat for a while, wanting to make sure he is taken cared of well. In an instant, I contacted Chris Aquino and asked where I can have outreach activities next for elderlies.
