A little excitement to start out Black Friday: I was awakened at 2:00 AM by , followed by a car horn blowing for several seconds. I got up and looked outside, and could see the taillights of two vehicles stopped, side-by-side, in front of my neighbors house. By the time I got dressed and got outside, the second vehicle, and the driver of the first, had departed, leaving behind a wrecked pickup truck. It had knocked down my streetside mailbox, then struck and passed over my neighbors brick culvert, breaking some bricks and setting off the trucks air bag. The mailbox ended up about 50 feet away. There were no skidmarks, suggesting thaf the driver was probably drunk. I am still waiting for the police to come so that I can file a report for insurance purposes. The trucks taillights are not on in the photos. That is a reflection of my camera flash. I had to take a picture without the flash in order to get the license tag.
