A little help…….. Before too much time goes by I have to give a shout out to Fernando and the folks at West Loop towing, Ft. Worth, for quickly getting me out of a tough situation, and my software “Nerds” from work who were prepared to come to my aid. There’s nothing like coming back to home base on a bright, sunny 100 degree day, with a half million people visiting for an airshow, “working” your way through the security cordons and (eventually) discovering your car will not start. AFTER the rest of your team has just left the base. And….. there’s not a soul in the area where you are now stuck. With patience (and a “few” phone calls) Fernando and his tow truck worked his way through the security hurdles, determined that the battery was just dead (not the starter as I guessed) and sent me on the way before the crowds started to exit. Sooooo I was able to make it to a store and get a new battery before dark. Meanwhile my “Nerds” were prepared to meet me at whatever location my car would have been towed to. So… thanks again to all….. it’s good to have friends….. AND AAA.
