A little history about Ted Francis, and the Oregon trail. His Grandmother is Catherine Applegate. Her grandfather is Jessee Applegate Trail (Dallas,Oregon) The Applegate Trail was a wilderness trail through todays U.S. states of Idaho, Nevada, California, and Oregon, and was originally intended as a less dangerous route to the Oregon Territory.
