A little known fact, Vernon Johns was a Pastor at the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church before Martin Luther King Jr was. He would go to the café and sit belly up to the bar to get his coffee. The waitress or waiter would pour the coffee on the saucer around the cup cuz he was black. That Pastor also put speakers outside of the church so that the whole town could hear his civil rights sermons. When it came time for him to retire, the congregation decided they would pick someone quieter for their next Pastor... Imagine my chuckle as they revealed on this show where the daughter of that Pastor was talking with Connie Chung that the next Pastor they picked was Martin Luther King Jr! Now there is a twist even Steven King would have never come up with. LOL
