A little note abt what inspired SGKids Outreach: The idea come when I saw how much toys are sitting there collecting dust for my 2 yo toddler. Forgotten. Was thinking to pass it on to frds but many of them would have already bought many new toys for their little one... So might as well donate these to less privileged kids in other countries! But to Who and Where?? Thanks to frd who saw my post on FB and that she have been collecting kids old clothes and unwanted toys and sending them to India. She will pack these into a jumbo box, pay for freight herself and send to it to her frd based in Mumbai. Her frd does charity on a personal basis- she visits the rural poor villages and brings to distribute to poor children who literally have nothing to wear and some not even a toy. With 11 years of friendship, she trust her frd in Mumbai to be reliable and the things will really go to the poverty children who really needs it. BINGO! Thats exactly what we need so that what started SGKids Outreach. So our first mission is to India before Xmas 2013. I am sure we would like our kids to know and learn that its such a meaningful thing to do by passing on their old toys with the less privileged and bless others.
