A little over 1 month before my mom died we went to see Wicked. My mom had always LOVED The Wizard of Oz and she always loved musicals so this was right up her alley. The last song in the show left everyone in theater in tears...I tried to hide mine but, come on...how can you not cry with this song. We walked up to the hall from our seats to wait for the rest of our group and my mom said to me I want you to play that song at my funeral. My first thought was Dammit, Mom! Dont do this now! but she always lived in the moment so I got it. I really dont think my mom truly knew how much she touched other peoples lives. She asked me to play this song and hoped that people would really listen to the words and know that she was extremely grateful for having every one of them in her life. Pretty cool. ♡
