A little over a month ago I was getting ready for company, fixing up our spare bedroom. At a Fields of Grace Emmaus Gathering I was presented with a very special prayer bench. It went into our new guest room perfectly and even folded up for space. The covering on the kneeler matched the colors in the spare room perfectly. Since that evening we have had company for about a week, attended 3 family reunions and most recently visited Beaver Oklahoma for my cousin Lances Burial at Balko Cemetery. I just havent put the words together to share with you all about this wonderfully perfect gift. Prayers have been answered in the last month. I did not get to officially thank my Emmaus family for this wonderful gift. I am not sure who all had a hand in this gift, but what I do know is . . . Melvin Link designed and built the prayer bench. I want to express my heartfelt thanks for all your work Melvin. Thanks to Melvin & Linda Link for hauling it across many miles and actually carrying it all the way to my front door after the gathering. Thank you to Wendie Jencks-Wilson for thinking of me and to all who played a role in this gift, Ronda Simons, Sue Newkirk, Ben Wilson and everyone in on the surprise. The prayer bench has definitely been used and many prayers are needed for myself, family and friends right now. I know God is in control and answers prayers. I will always cherish my prayer bench, a very special gift of love.
