A little over a year ago, we created the Southern California Chapter of Dystopia Rising. We have done our best to positively effect the local LARP community. Weve shared our site, NPCs and marketing resources with other games in the region, and recruited outside of the local LARP population to swell our ranks. Our game is unique. It is a survival game, with death being a common denominator. We had 14 character deaths at our season finale, and I dont think it fazed a one of you. You wear the hardcore mode of the game like a badge of honor, and I couldnt be happier with you, our players. No story is written that didnt have inspiration or direct help. Id like to thank those that had a hand in its inception, from our very first game, and to our current Staffers that work so hard to bring the game to life. Ramsey Rickabaugh, Lilly Mcquesten, Frank Romeo, Jared Buchan, Chris Hodge and the others that were with us in the beginning. Robert Anthony van Olden, Chris Ruffell, Phillip Kato, Bolt Vanderhuge (Aaron Reed), Justin Michael Browne, Dakota Dominique Hicks and our Marshals (and that list is long!) Last but not least, Ken McFarland for giving so much to game. It has been an honor to be your Director, and I consider it a privilege to be able to begin work on our second season.
