Israel’s ground offensive, after Hamas rejected two cease fire attempts, to root out a tunnel network built by a terrorist organization in a land packed with 1.5 million people, and for which Hamas is using children and innocents to shield, has resulted in less than 250 civilian casualties. One civilian casualty is too much, but does any nation or cause have the moral authority to use the word “restraint” when it talks to Israel? Israel has been the model of restraint and is meeting a standard higher than any other country or cause in recent world history.
