A little rant....To the drunk driver who was speeding and wrecked in my yard...consider yourself lucky. You are lucky that you did not get hurt, lucky that you did not hit the green electric junction box, lucky that you did not hit any of the rather large trees in your path, lucky that you only grazed my house and did not hit it head on, lucky that although you were taken away in handcuffs you were not harmed. Finally, consider yourself LUCKY that it was the middle of the night and that my children and my dog (or others in your path) were not outside playing. Now let me say this...I am not a perfect driver. I, like most on route 4, drive too fast most of the time and I am working hard to change that. HOWEVER, when I am in a residential neighborhood the speed limit is obeyed. While walking my dog around my yard today (since I now have no fence) I have had the chance to stand and watch just how many people speed in and out of my neighborhood, crossing over the lines as if they are not there...all the while trying to see why there are fence pieces strewn all over the place. Understand that unfortunately this will not be the last time you see car parts and other debris all over the yard as this is not the first time that someone has misjudged the turn and landed in my yard. I think maybe pursuing a guardrail might put a damper on some of this...Thanks for listening.
