A little shout to the people in Bear Country......My son Shane has - TopicsExpress

A little shout to the people in Bear Country......My son Shane has played football @ Jefferson for the last four years. Great experiences and coaches along the way. It has for sure helped shape him into a good young man. Early last week he decided that his heart was not into any longer. So after much conversation about the topic with family and coaches, he has decided not to play his Junior year.......After the fact, you would have thought he decided to drop out of school judging by some of the whispers and reactions that Ive heard and seen. Ive even heard that I should have made him play. Im going to leave that to the parents who need to live their lives through their kids according to what they do on the field. I suggest those who are judging my son in a negative way to take care of their own back yard because none of you or your kids are perfect are they? At some point, you have to let a kid pick his own path and help guide him in the right direction in the hope that they have made the right choice. FYI.....I am far from a perfect parent but I do have my both of my kids back. Also......for those of you who will give this post an eye roll or forward it to others to use for your viewing pleasure or conversation. Most likely, I dont care for you anyway and your view is irrelevant to me. One Love!!
