A little something from the Moir / Smalley clan (smalley being my maternal grandparents). My Grandfather (cap g - respect is due) had a certain way with his salad dressing. A wonderfully sticky sweet/sour unction that suits both salad and meat simultaneously. If this isnt on the table at a family gathering, then it simply isnt a family gathering. As is often said at the above gatherings: ...the salad is but a vehicle for The Gloop Herewith the recipe for Gloop. It is simple - ridiculously so - but for some reason Ive been unable to replicate it. With this in mind, I asked my mother if she would be kind enough to allow me to record the method by way of video.
