A little story about how my bday started & reminded how intricately the universe works-& to always be grateful! .... ...I dropped the kids off at camp & went to the gas station to fill up for my outing to the beach...after putting 50 bucks worth in, I go to start the car & it just dies on me...Im really not dressed for the day, my hair is a frizzy mess & Im sitting there like WTF?..on my birthday?... really?...I see a guy in a truck, ask if he knows about cars (which he really didnt as youll see) & ask him to give me a jump--nothing..I start calling mom to let her know Im stuck at the gas station, calling the car repair place & the tow truck company..they tell me its at least an hour (busy day apparently) maybe 20 mins goes by & another guy comes up sees a wire is loose on the battery, tightens it with his fingers & tells me to start the truck--IT STARTS!! hes like the last guy didnt see it just needed to be tightened?--it took two minutes w/the wrench, I canceled the tow & was on my way--it WAS a birthday present from the universe! Imagine I had been driving Elliot down to Ft Lauderdale when the wire came loose, or I had been in my garage at moms..I would have paid for a tow for nothing!! Instead I was parked in a gas station with lots of room to sit, a store in front of me if I got thirsty, in walking distance from my moms & in plain sight where ANYONE could walk by & help-so thank you universe for the bday present!! I have learned to NOT complain as much & let things take their course-it always works out if you have faith in yourself-& the balance of the universe (while you working on getting it done!)
