A little while ago, I thought I heard what sounded like rain hitting the roof. And I got to thinking, What?!! More rain? So I went outside to check. And not a raindrop to be felt or seen. So I went back inside. Maybe Grandma is in the shower getting cleaned up. Not that either. I listened even closer. And honed in on the noise as only a curious guy with nothing to do could do. Aaaannnnnnnnddddddd..................it was my darn mealybug beetles. Their numbers are growing so I had to put them into a larger container. And tonight they were really getting down and having a party. Listening to a few hundred beetles tromping about really did sound like a light rain was hitting the roof. Now those rascally bugs are going to be giggling at me all night long.
