A lobby group has warned that the Killarney “brand” could be destroyed with the upcoming change to local authorities. Killarney Local Government Action Group is demanding a dedicated budget and management for the town - as well as control of marketing, local levies, and its own mayor. At a meeting, TD Tom Fleming said Kerry County Council would have to realise that Killarney is “the centre of the economy” in Kerry. What do you think? Should Killarney be treated as a special case, and granted more control over its own future?
