A lockdown on Capitol Hill in Washington DC was lifted almost as quickly as it started, after multiple shots were fired earlier this hour, possibly as many as a dozen. A woman reportedly had an argument with a security officer near the Treasury Department and clipped a police car as she tried to drive past a barrier, then led officers on a chase towards the Capitol. Officers opened fire and wounded the woman, not knowing there was a child in the car, but there have been no reports that the child was hurt. Several agencies are investigating. SuzG.
