A long, long time ago, an ancient poet (or group of poets) named Homer recorded the mythical adventures of Odysseus (in Latin = Ulysses) which had existed orally for centuries, told and re-told through generations. This written version took its name from its hero: The Odyssey ... long before Indiana Jones or Tarzan or Doc Savage, Odysseus was the original adventurer ... following the war with Troy, all Odysseus wanted to do was return to his kingdom of Ithaca and schtupp his lovely wife Penelope, but the gods were pissed off with him and threw obstacles in his way home ... he had many battles and adventures on his journey home - truly the original road movie ... heres a sand-and-sandal (peplum) version of The Odyssey with Kirk Douglas in one of his more famous roles as Ulysses ... enjoy! https://youtube/watch?v=nuqRlI2qeQQ
