A long rant, but what should we expect from our governance? Religion claims it will care for the sick, the poor, the downtrodden, but do they? If they did governance wouldt juxtapose into the equation. So what of the ill, the poor, the disabled, or elderly? Those that oppose governance tend to disregard them, but they exist. We will face a crises soon,one which nobody comprehends, how to deal with theelderly. Dont fear ebola, fear dementia. Are we willing to put the necessary resources into caring for them? Our population needs immigrants (so all you wanting to close the border listen up). Children at one point were an asset, a means to take care of you as you get older. Now children are expensive, and we arent having as many, ergo, someone must replace the work force. We will be begging for the emigrants we are now turning away. The perfect storm is brewing, so to speak. The republicans are being held hostage by the Tea Party. The Southern Democrats are now the New Republicans. We have overt racism as it regards to immigrants of which we all are. So, circle back. Who among you are going to turn a dying patient away from an emergency room? So, public health is now a public mandate. ACA isnt socialized medicine, it is a means to fund an unspoken government mandate. Which brings me full circle….we wouldt need any government mandates if religion did what they claimed they would do. We will face a crises soon…not of religious fanatics, but of those we love whom we cant care for…those with dementia. But nobody wants to talk about that…..
