A long time ago.. I wont say when.. I had a brief fling with a much younger man... too young. Anyway.. this fabulous track from Alanis Morissette always makes me think of it. I always thought that she wrote it about Ryan Reynolds with whom she was involved for a long time, but actually its about something else entirely. Some illicit affair she had when she was under age... Whatever its about.. its beautifully constructed and the lyrics are thought provoking. I like a lot of her work.. big fan. Canada has been able to crank out a seemingly endless stream of truly great female singer songwriters.. one after another, from Joni Mitchell to Lights they just keep coming.. and AM is a part of that great tradition..
