A look back at the Maritime Security West Conderence held in Tacoma WA. last August 20th, 2014. A King County Sheriffs Helicopter performed a rescue demonstration using a new rescue platform before a group of attendees at this years Maritime Security West Conference in Tacoma WA. on August 18th, 2014. More information at: maritimesecuritywest/ Seattle Fire Department with the support of King County Sheriffs Office, and Tacoma Fire Dept. will be conducting an on-water rescue demonstration using the AirTEP (airborne tactical extrication platform) system from the King County Sheriffs Office rescue helicopter. This is not a common rescue demonstration and should not be missed. There only 6 known agencies in the US that own the AirTEP system and Seattle Fire Dept. is one of the few that has it in use for on-water rescue. After the demonstration, the helicopter will be parked nearby for all participants to visit and see the latest in surveillance and navigational capabilities. (Video by Robert Lyden)
