According to the proposal, the league will feature eight franchisees - Dhaka, Chittagong, Barisal, Sylhet, Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur and Mymensingh, with Diego Maradona as the chairman of the league committee. BFF has shown interest but said they will hold further talks only if Maradona comes to Bangladesh. CMG officials are set to meet Maradona in Madrid on January 29.
