Hon Tola Banjo is a native of Odosenlu a village in Ijebu North East intact his uncle is the current Oba of Odosenlu,Oba Banjo,his mother is from Osinowo family of Odo Egbo in Ijebu Ode and his material uncle is Hon Osinowo (Hon Pepper) of Lagos Assembly,He graduated from Mapply where he was the SUG President in 2002/2003 it was while there that he met Amosun another Aumni of the school infact during 2003 election the money Osoba gave to his union to canvass for votes for his AD was diverted and use for Amosun and Daniel PDP since then he became Amosun boy with Arugbo and Seyi Enitan,he took his sycophancy for Amosun to a new level when he converted from his Catholic faith to Islam and started to wear Amosun type of cap,when Amosun became Senator he worked briefly with him at Abuja before making away with SUG money and relocated to U.K where he worked as cab driver and laundry man,he left PDP with Amosun and in 2007 he contested for House of Assembly under ANPP representing Ijebu Ode Constituency but failed with Amosun and went back,in 2011 he was back with a Primers 626 car to rugged it a relatively unknown person save for him prominent activities in Eye Fraternity where he is a Don,In 2011 when Amosun was complaining about the number of Party offices and elective slots he was given it took the intervention,plead and lies by Prince Segun Adesegun who sold Tola candidacy to Chief Osoba before he was given the ticket at the cost of other aspirants like Gazal,Keshiro,Shote,Jagun,Seico and others,During the election Hon Tola was no where to be found because he didnt have money it was Bidemi Bashorun,Wale Ogunkoya,Kunle Otun,Daddah Rasaq and Hon Osinowo who gave him money and sponsor the election,his first outing was the disruption of the Party arrangements in which the Deputy Speakership was given to Hon Adijat of lfo when some members were given N400,000 each after they were taken to bush where fetishes oath of allegiance to the Governor,the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker was taken,the house members were divided to 3 a group followed,Okewole,another group followed Alhaji AgbaSIA while the third followed Modrifas Amosun and on that day the party arrangements changad and that was the genesis of Amosun /Osoba clash,Having become the Deputy Speaker Hon Tola become a tin god,pompous,arrongant and a tin god forgetting that power is transient,riding rough and as proud as oil sheikh,infraction in the history of Ijebu Ode politics there is no politian living or dead that is hated like him,he is a replay of El Mustapha of Abacus era,as proud as oil sheikh and even said to be inhumane and so wicked as few examples will suffice here (1) lm the whole Nigeria Tola is the only assembly deputy speaker that uses Right Honourable before his name in public and in documents (2) Twice he had tried to convince some of his colleagues on a bill to impeach the Deputy Governor the same man who got the ticket for him but failed (3) He planted. a spy staff. one A.k at Daddah ljebu Ode Chairman office to monitor him (4) He was mentioned as a brain behind the sacrifice found in deputy governors office (5) He planted a spy also in deputy Governor office,Also presently he is not on talking term with any of his sponsorers again,even Wasiu Ayinde the musician tried during Hon Mafe 40/40 Party to settle the tiff between him and Eng Kunle Otun but it was to no avail,to show his the game ahead all his candidates in the last APC Congress lost. flatly as he was beaten in his ward 9 but he went to Abeokuta to change the names of the winners to that of his people,most of his siblings and cousins in his ward had decamp to Labour Party to make him lose his booth,Have you ever seen a deputy speaker collect dues from garrages? go to ljebu Ode and ask? have you seen a market with two Iyaloja? go to Oke Majek in Ijebu ode and ask? he always go to Amosun to vilify and assasinate leaders,he is feared by leaders in Ijebu,for 5 times a 75 years Alhaji Anibi the Local government Chairman of ACN called him inside his room and prostrated for him for appointed but till now he had not assisted him,All the problems in NANS,NAOSS and SUGs in Ogun are his handworks,He hate others rising and like people worshipping him,only him imposed all the councillors and LG officials and Party Exco,he is the chief promoter of division and dictomy in APC ljebu Ode,He believe he is smart and can always deceive people and have his ways,to have co contestants and their supporers,But the worse of all his attitude is his kleptomanic and stealing attitude despite his many channels to money moreso being one of the people being use as conduit pipe by Amosun for money laundrying he still always steal from money sent to him being the only channel Amosun. to send to people,these stories is everywhere in ljebu Ode and any investigatior and researchers can freely research them,some of them that blew open was the N100 ,000 made for each ward in 2012,the late lmam Alejulohun N1m gift from governor that became N500,000,The ljebu Ode ACN Elders Forum N5m that became N2m,the MOT Olatokunbo burial money that from N2m became N1.5m and lastly is Hon Kunle Mudashiru who was then CPC State Chairman and now APC State Financial Secretary was sent N500,000 only to get N250,,000,few days to Awujale 80th Birthday there was cult rivalry clashes and Amosun gave him N5m to settle the boys he only remitted N2m, this is just to mention but few,he is seriously demystifying the office of the Chairman of the LG,he is hated so much by garrage people and market women,the only election that is as sure as death for APC Ogun to lose is Tola election. the party members are planning that if Tola is return as candidate. moreso his election will come same day with governorship that they will throw the baby away with bath water,but his boys are calling him oncoming Speaker and he has been boasting if he lost the next election and Amosun wins he will become the next Chief of staff and according to him They are saying l cant win the next election Are they God? Time will tell.
