A lot of chatter recently about Selig, this being his last day as commissioner and all. Overall, he was a mixed bag at best, IMO. There are more positives than negatives but the positives are moderate ones: introduction of replay, expanding the postseason, and realigning the divisions were more than necessary. They were outside the box, innovative ideas that needed to happen. Also, few franchises moving, economic stability (remember that he didnt officially assume duties until after the strike),and dare I say it markedly inproved parity late in his tenure. However, there were several woefully majot nrgatives: sweeping PEDs under the rug, making the game unaffordable for the average family, economic disparity and the small market vs. Giant market system, and gemeral slowness to act upon innovative but necessary changes, like replay. I would give him a C- as commissioner. Also, though I love MLB Network, dont trust them for honest analysis on the man who writes their paychecks.
