A lot of feminist theory in the United States caters to the experience of only white, middle-class to upper middle-class women. Itd be great to see some more diversity in the American scene. More demographics means more people, wider audiences, and farther cultural reach. It also pushes the concept that the movement is for ALL women, not just for a select few. Until that happens its like having a Civil Rights Movement where only dark-skinned African-Americans are invited to participate. Incomplete. Unorganized. Most importantly, not unified!
