A lot of great things happened to me back in 1994, from recording my first song to graduating college to taking up disc golf. But none of these compare to what happened on this date 20 years ago - meeting Charlotte Lomax, the best friend Id ever have. Our friendship actually started on a sad note, as my sisters father-in-law had just passed away and I was rather upset over this. Charlotte could tell I wasnt doing too good and she came over to comfort me. We had only talked briefly and barely knew each other, but I knew right there and then how special of a person she was. We went out to lunch the next day and weve been amazing friends ever since. In the 2 decades since, weve had so many incredible times together, and the laughs weve shared are not only countless but priceless too. Weve travelled all over the country together and even conquered Puerto Rico. Weve hiked hundreds of miles, ziplined through rainforests, hot-air ballooned over mountains, snorkeled in paradise, and eaten like royalty. I couldnt imagine my life without you, Charlotte. Your kindness, personality and charm are so precious, and you have me made a better person just by knowing you. I cant thank you enough for everything youve done for me, and I look forward to see where the next 20 years take us. To my best friend and travel partner, love you babe!
