A lot of grumbling is swirling around today about the news paper article this morning in regards to the financial picture in Deerfield. Folks be advised $500k payment for the new DPW FACILITY had nothing to do with the FY15 deficit. 4.9 million was voted two years ago by the voters via a debt exclusion and this is the first payment due. The DPW and the Police Department budgets all for the most part have level funded for FY15. The financial picture for the future was painted several years ago and we all knew adjustments needed to be made. If information is going to be given to the press by committee members then please give them factual information not hearsay! My people dont deserve to be the center of ridicule and nonsense due to bad information. They and the facility are not the issue!
