A lot of my friends on Facebook (FB) have been receiving game requests from their friends who play FB games, and honestly that can get a bit overwhelming during holidays. Heres the way I have learned to block all requests from a game app: On the left-hand side of your Home page is a bar that shows activities happening on your news feed. Under Apps there is an icon named Games. Click on it and that will take you to the Games page. If you have Game Requests, there will be a small red square with a number (requests from friends). Click on it. It will take you to the Game Activity page. On the top left there is a little envelope icon named Invites. Click on it and you be shown a list of game invites. Beside the request you will have two choices Accept or X. Click X. You will be given option Block or Ignore all requests from . If you dont want to receiver further notices or invites from a particular game choose Block. If your friend plays a lot of games and you dont play any games, choose Ignore and you wont receive anymore game requests or invites from that friend. Since I dont play games, Im not sure what triggers the request or invite. Ive been told the game app has been given permission to use your friend list and randomly send out invites, meaning they are not sending them to you on purpose. Ive also been told the friend (possibly in a gaming stupor) has mistakenly/purposefully sent out a request to all their friends, not realizing they are sending it out to every single friend in their list and not just the friends who play that particular game.
