A lot of seeing movies. One in the theater and two on DVD. Had to catch up with the Oscar nominations. This afternoon Elsa I caught the opening of Captain America. It had the proper amount of action, some of plot was hard to follow (maybe it was me), and at times it did drag. Could have cut 15-20 minutes without disturbing the plot. There is a big surprise. As most of these films there was more during the credits but also another scene after all the credits ended. There should have been a TBC at the end. Sets it all up for the next one. Now for the rentals. I really enjoyed the Dallas Buyers Club. It was entirely different than I expected. No wonder Matthew McConaughey was applauded for his role. One of the best I have seen. The next one is 12 years of Slavery. I guess I missed the point. I do not believe it had any redeeming social value. It was a remake of just about every slavery movie. Slavery may be of color, ethnicity, religion or politics. They are all made pretty much the same. Atrocities are nature of man since the beginning of time. Mankind has a lot to be ashamed of and I am sure we will judged in the hereafter.
