A lot of therapists say they do not have time to retail. I agree, when we work our 8 hour shift and then just leave as soon as we can yes of course we will then become wage slaves only ever being able to do what our manager tells us. How badly do you want to be successful? If its a lot then try this for the next 30 days... Instead of working 8 hours, work 12 hours every shift and dedicate the extra 4 hours to generating more clients, inviting current clients in for educational skincare sessions where guess what, you will have the opportunity to retail! Dedicate those extra 4 hours to LEARNING about successful selling and do not ask your manager for an extra 4 hours salary per day. You are not doing this for your manager... You are doing this for you! What you can do is make a deal with your manager and say whatever you sell during these additional 4 hours per day, you want double commission! Therefore, you now have a financial motivation to sell like you never sold before. When I first started in the wellness industry I was complete rubbish at selling, I was actually a waste of space (so my manager said at least.) My revenge on that manager was not even to work 12 hours per day, I worked 16 hours per day for 3 months with a single goal... To LEARN to be the best. Did I learn? Yes. Did my sales improve? Absolutely. I went from the worst in the company to the best! As for my manager, he was fired for not bullying another staff member. I dont care what a manager says, or whatever negativity people will throw at me, I do this for me, my loved ones and my clients. If you allow your manager to dictate your future you wont have much of one. Step up, do whatever it takes, put in the extra hours until you no longer need too. I may sound like I am not on your side but believe me, I am far more on your side than those people who tell you to just go with the flow and dont worry about reaching for your dreams. Put in the work, put in massive action until you become the £10,000 per month therapist or whatever your goal is. Have a power Saturday.
