A lot of us take Facebook too seriously. When we begin to make judgements about people we dont know based upon the few things they do or do not share, weve made a grave mistake. The reality of it is that unless youve met and spent time with people in real life, you dont know them. You only know their name and what they want you to see through social media. I mean, lets be honest...just because they are on your friends list doesnt make them a friend. Social media only provides a glimpse into someones life but doesnt give you the background information you need about their life. You may be able to identify whether someone is happy, sad, angry, religious, agnostic, political, or even intelligent but even those observations are at best prejudicial. Heres my advice... Stop believing social media. Stop assuming that a person is inherently bad or good. Dont assume anything about anyone. Stop trying to live up to others reputation of you. Dont allow social media to replace real face to face human interaction. There are no short cuts to real relationship building.
