A lot of you know me professionally as a freelance filmmaker, but four years ago I had no path, no solid footing in los angeles, and scared out of my mind. I was given the amazing opportunity to make a film through the amazing Armed with a Camera Fellowship, who saw potential in me (and so many others!!) that I cried when I learned that I got accepted. Without the support of the program, the mentorship and the network I made along the way, I really wouldnt be where I am today and would probably be in another line of business. I made my film Play Time (2011) through this fellowship, which played around the world and won awards. But most importantly, it stemmed my confidence and opened doors to new opportunities for my career.
