A love and passion for dance takes me down a new path.……….. Colleen’s Studio of Dance Arts has been my dream since the age of 9. Dreams really do come true if you work hard, believe in yourself and never stop learning and growing from life experiences. Unfortunately, today will be the studios last performance and recital. The studio will be closing its doors with many memories and great times with many amazing people. I have put all of my blood, sweat, money, hours, tears, fears, guts and glory into this lovely thing of what we call Colleen’s Studio of Dance Arts. WE are truly a FAMILY! When God closes a door he opens another—I truly believe that. It is now time, as much as it saddens me to lose a large part of myself for 9 years and many students that I have grown to love and admire, to now walk through another door and walk down a different path. I would like to truly thank from the bottom of my heart every person I have ever come in contact with through this lovely thing we call dance and Colleen’s Studio of Dance Arts. It has been an amazing ride. I would like to especially thank my “people” who have been with me and invested in me and my program for many years. You know who you are. I believe this is as hard for you as it is for me to see this chapter of our lives together come to a close. Thank you for always believing in me and allowing me to be a big part of you and your children’s lives. This is not good bye—this is I will see you soon. I have enjoyed the many ups and yes also the many downs of this huge responsibility of the studio owning process. Thank you for being a huge part of helping to make a little 9 year old girl’s dream come true. The new door that is opening for me is an opportunity to continue living the purple power dream. My new journey is an opportunity to work for De Frances Academy of Dance in Baton Rouge. They are one of the top Louisiana Dance Studios celebrating over 50 years of educating excellence. They have been my mentors and great friends for years and I am honored and blessed to be welcomed as well as any students of mine to their family with open arms.
