A major midday rally drew more than 100 concerned members of the labor and Southeast San Diego community to the Food 4 Less on Euclid at Market Creek Plaza. They were there, picket in hand to support Food 4 Less workers inside who must be treated with respect, dignity and deserve a fair wage, health care benefits and work enough hours to qualify for those benefits. The NAACP helped sponsor the event. LiUna! Laborers Local 89 were on hand along with SEIU. Check out the first picture. But the three come from Food 4 Less stores throughout the County. UFCW Local 135 staff along with members from other union stores, the Labor Council, CPI were out in full force--talking to consumers often one at a time. Just one customer boycotting makes a huge difference. hardworkfairpay.org
