A major reunion for Kindley/Chaffee High School (BERMUDA) is being planned for the weekend of August 28-30th, 2015. We have chosen the Ramada Inn on Hartley Road in Jacksonville, FL to have the reunion. We got a great rate of $69 per night, it has the best food for the money and the hotel is over halfway finished with the renovations, (which will be completed by the time we have our reunion. EVERYTHING has been renovated or will be renovated. I have been in Jacksonville since the 1970s and the inside of this hotel has TOTALLY been upgraded. You get a free full breakfast and there is a restaurant right in the hotel if you dont want to leave the hotel for a lunch. But there is a Bob Evans and a Steak n Shake within walking distance of the hotel for those who want to indulge. On Friday night we will be having heavy hor doevres (spelling?) or going to dinner at our local Bucca di Peppo restaurant (for those who want to go out that night. On Saturday night we will have a dinner dance night. The dinner will be a buffet with three entrees (the final menu will be available in February. Also, bring a souvenir from your part of the world, or a craft that youve made to exchange. That way everyone goes home with a prize. We may even have some items from the island to have a silent auction! The cost of the weekend (which includes Friday heavy hor doevres (spelling?) and Saturdays dinner dance will be $75. We will begin collecting money from attendees in March 2015. Further information as to where to send the monies will be given at a later date. HOPING TO SEE MANY OF YOU THERE. We will be celebrating the 50th graduation anniversary of classes 1965 (which is the first graduating class to have attended 9th - 12 grades in the high school), the 45th anniversary of the class of 70, and all the other classes!
