A man asked one of my workers if he could buy some tape from us. I walk outside with some duct tape to where he was sitting with his dog and asked him how much he needed. He pointed at his shoe which had half the sole ripped off. Not thinking twice I reached out with the tape to offer to tape it for him and he with wide eyes asked are you fine doing it? At which I replied Yeah of course, how do you want me to do this?. After I finished I offered to buy him a water if he was thirsty. He told me he had a bit of money so hed buy one. When I brought him the water he gave me a few dollars and said: You know what this is for? This is for your kind, compassionate, and giving attitude. You didnt even hesitate to tape up an old farts shoe whos using an old sweatshirt as a dog leash like me. Please never lose that attitude and it will take you far in life. If I could afford to give you more, I would, but traits like those are priceless. - People like that are the people that inspire me to do good in this world. Just a simple gesture and a grand thank you.
