A man has been charged after a fatal crash near Griffith last week. Just before 7am, Tuesday 14 October 2014, emergency services were called to Kidman Way at Darlington Point, following reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and a panel van. The rider, 58-year-old Michael Kelton from Darlington Point, died at the scene. The driver of the panel van, a 70-year-old Griffith man, was not injured. On Friday, 17 October 2014, he attended Griffith Police Station and was issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for dangerous driving causing death and negligent driving cause death. He will appear in Griffith Local Court on Wednesday 3 December, 2014. A report has been prepared for the Coroner.
